REGIONAL RURAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS PROGRAM



The purpose of the program is to encourage rural counties to use regional economic development organizations by leveraging limited resources to the fullest extent possible and by helping to build the professional capacity of those organizations.

How?

  • Private organizations established cooperatively by multiple rural counties to promote economic development for the region.
  • A rural county is defined as a county with a population of less than 75,000 or that have a population of 100,000 or less and are contiguous to a county with a population of less than 75,000.
